Rouhanifard's Legacy to Camden Public Schools

Since his term as superintendent of Camden schools in 2013, "the district’s graduation rate is up 17 percent, and the dropout rate has been cut in half, to 11 percent. Suspensions are down by more than 50 percent. State test scores, while still quite low, are rising steadily" (Shapiro). Read more here.


Rouhanifard, an Iranian refugee who came to America at age 5, rose to become a prominent figure in Camden's public education reform.
